A border that stays where you put it

Grass creeps and garden beds lose their shape within a season if nothing holds the line. That is the whole reason a metal edge earns its keep over timber or plastic: once it is in the ground, it does not rot, crack or work loose the way lighter materials do.

We sell it in the material that suits the job. Corten steel weathers to a rust patina and needs nothing done to it. Stainless and powder-coated steel keep their colour. Plastic edging costs less and still holds a clean line for a lawn or a path. Pick the one that matches the look and the budget, not the other way around.

Stock lengths, laid with basic tools

Our edging ships in fixed lengths and packs rather than made-to-measure runs. Dig a shallow trench along the line you want, set the edging in it and backfill - a spade and an afternoon is the whole job for most gardens. Full step-by-step guidance is on our Guides & Advice pages.

Being straight about what it does

A fence or a screen keeps things out; edging does not. What it does is hold a boundary between lawn, garden bed and path so mowing and weeding stay simple and the border stays where you put it. If you need a physical barrier rather than a defined line, edging on its own is not the answer, and we would rather say so than have you find out after the order arrives.
